Winkie Truffle

Winkie Truffle is a sophisticated Australian dahlia variety introduced by the late John Menzel of South Australia. It is highly prized by floral designers for its moody "truffle" tones and reliable, productive growth habit.

• Color: A complex, dusty smoky pink with hints of berry, plum, and rustic brown. The centers are often a deeper purple-ish or maroon tone.
• Form: Classified as a formal decorative or miniature decorative dahlia with tidy, symmetrical layers of petals.
• Bloom Size: Produces petite, versatile blooms typically measuring under 10 cm (approx. 4 inches) in diameter—an ideal size for bouquet work.
• Height: A relatively short to medium plant, reaching about 1–1.2 meters (3–4 feet) tall.
• Performance: Known as a prolific and floriferous "heavy producer" that is often one of the first and last to bloom in the season. It features strong stems and a good vase life of around 5–6 days.
