The WD Brittany dahlia is a soft and stylish beauty hybridized by Warwick Dahlias in Black Creek, British Columbia. Named after a special woman, it is celebrated as a "florist's first pick" for its unique, shifting coral tones and its role as a reliable, high-yielding workhorse in the cutting garden.
- Color: Coral Pink / Light Blend. Delivers dusty coral pink blooms with a warm blush of gold. It is a total "shape-shifter," emerging as a deep, saturated coral that gradually fades to muted, softer tones as the season progresses. In intense heat, it may display a muted yellow-coral combination.
- Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features elegantly full and perfectly shaped blooms with a refined, symmetrical petal arrangement
- Bloom Size: Miniature (M). The dainty, uniform flowers typically measure approximately 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter, making them an ideal size for detailed bouquet work
- Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches a height of 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm). It grows strong with sturdy stems that are easy to harvest and arrange.
- Performance: Highly Productive & Early Bloomer. This variety is noted for being exceptionally floriferous, blooming "like crazy" from mid-summer until frost. It is a reliable tuber producer, although the tubers themselves are often small. For the best color preservation, it benefits from some shade during the hottest part of the day.
