Vian Aurora

The Vian Aurora is a luminous and eye-catching variety introduced by Canadian hybridizer Vittorio Fontana. It is celebrated for its radiant "sunrise" coloring and graceful, textured form, making it a vibrant addition to mixed borders and sun-drenched floral arrangements.

• Color: Yellow (Y) / Light Blend (LB). A bright, "highlighter yellow" center that blends into soft salmon-pink or reddish-pink petal tips. The colors often fade beautifully as the bloom matures, creating a wild, multi-toned effect.
• Form: Semi-Cactus (SC). Features petals that are broad at the base and gently rolled or quilled toward the tips, providing a sense of movement and dimension. Some growers also classify it as Informal Decorative (ID) depending on local conditions.
• Bloom Size: Medium (B). Generous blooms typically measuring between 6 to 8 inches (15–20 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous, upright plant that reaches approximately 4 feet (120 cm) in height.
• Performance: Eye-Catching Border Plant. Held on strong, straight stems, it is a reliable performer in the garden and provides vibrant stems for cutting. It is noted for its "wow factor" as immature blooms transition from intense yellow to soft sunset tones.
