Van Isle Powder

The Van Isle Powder dahlia is an exquisite and resilient variety hybridized by Trevor Hoff of Cable Bay Dahlias in Nanaimo, British Columbia. It is celebrated for its balanced, symmetrical form and its ability to withstand pests and weather while maintaining a refined, delicate appearance. 

• Color: Blush / Mauve. A luminous white or soft blush bloom touched with a subtle hint of mauve and buttercream, creating a sophisticated and "exquisite" palette.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features layers of uniform, neatly arranged petals that create a pleasing, symmetrical round shape.
• ADS Classification: 4001 (BB-FD-WH) or similar. While often listed simply as a Small Formal Decorative, its color profile places it in the white-to-blush class.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically measure approximately 5 inches (12.5 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Medium-Tall. Typically grows between 3.5 and 4 feet (105–120 cm) tall.
• Performance: Resilient and Prolific. Highly regarded for its vigor and ability to bounce back from pests like rabbits and earwigs. It is noted for being a reliable bloomer that "brightens the day" with its consistent, high-quality flowers.
