Cornel Bronze is a "sport" of the popular red dahlia 'Cornel'. It was hybridized by P. Smits or Geerlings (Netherlands) and introduced 2004 / 2005.

Characteristics:

Form: Ball (BA): This dahlia form is characterized by its perfectly round and symmetrical flower heads. The ray florets (petals) are tightly arranged, curved inward (involute), and form a dense, compact, and globular shape. This neat, polished appearance is highly prized.

Colour: Unique Coppery-Bronze: While officially classified as Bronze (BR), the color is often described as a muted, warm hue blending:

• Coppery Bronze
• Dusty Orange
• Rosy Orange/Cinnamon
• Light Orange/Salmon

Bloom Size: Ball (BA): The flowers are typically a consistent 3 to 4 inches (7.5 cm to 10 cm) in diameter, the perfect size for ball dahlias.

Height: Tall: The plant exhibits a vigorous, upright habit, generally reaching a height of 4 to 5.5 feet (1.2 m to 1.7 m).
