Tropical Dream

The Tropical Dream dahlia is an angelic and charming variety that captures a soft, summer-inspired palette. Celebrated by florists and wedding designers for its "sweet" and romantic appearance, it is a versatile addition to cutting gardens and whimsical arrangements. 

• Color: Pink (PK) / Light Blend. A beautiful, shifting blend of salmon-pink, apricot, and soft peach tones, often highlighted with creamy yellow centers or delicate white tips. The coloration can vary throughout the season, sometimes displaying a more dusty pink or pale-peach hue.
• Form: Miniature Decorative (M-FD/ID). Classified as a mini decorative, it features broad petals that can range from formal to informal. In some growing conditions, the centers may tend to open slightly, though the bloom remains highly desirable for its color.
• Bloom Size: Miniature to Small. Blooms are generally compact, typically measuring around 3 to 4 inches (approx. 7.5–10 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A whimsical and vigorous grower that reaches approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) tall, often described as "blowing in the breeze" due to its height.
• Performance: Highly Productive Florist Favorite. Noted for being very floriferous, especially towards the end of the season, it produces an abundance of flowers on long, sturdy stems. It performs best in a sheltered position with morning sun and afternoon shade, as its white-tipped petals can sometimes be sensitive to intense heat.
