Tahoma Lizzie is an enchanting and whimsical variety introduced by the legendary Les Connell (Tahoma Dahlias) in 2015. It is celebrated for its "paint-dipped" appearance, airy movement, and romantic picotee edges—making it a perfect choice for adding a soft, fairytale-like quality to garden borders and professional, whimsical floral designs.
- Color: White / Lavender. Features clear, cotton-white petals that are vividly tipped in pinky-lavender or orchid purple, giving the bloom a striking "dipped in paint" or windswept appearance.
- Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Known for its slightly irregular, wavy petals; the outer petals often reflex back beautifully, providing a voluminous and nodding, windswept silhouette.
- Bloom Size: Small (BB). These dainty and romantic blooms typically measure approximately 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter.
- Height: Tall. A vigorous and upright grower that typically reaches a mature height of approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm), requiring staking to support its productive, airy growth.
- Performance: Prolific Garden Favorite. Praised as a "new all-time favorite" for its high productivity throughout the season. While highly valued for its long stems and unique color transitions, some growers note its stems can occasionally be thinner than other robust varieties.
