The Shiloh Noelle dahlia is an exquisite and romantic "dinner plate" variety introduced by Cunningham (USA) in 1986. Often considered a more refined successor to the famous Café au Lait, it is highly coveted by wedding florists for its soft, pillowy texture and sophisticated pastel tones.
- Color: Light Blend (LB) / Lavender & White. Features layers of soft, silky petals in a powdery blush-pink or pale lavender that fades to a creamy white as the bloom matures. This transition creates a beautiful two-tone effect, with the center showing more saturated color than the outer petals.
- Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Boasts a relaxed and winsome silhouette with petals that gently twist and twirl. ADS Classification: 0110 - AA ID LB.
- Bloom Size: Giant (AA). Massive, show-stopping blooms that typically measure 8 to 10 inches (20–25 cm) in diameter—occasionally reaching over 12 inches under ideal conditions.
- Height: Medium. Reaches a height of approximately 3.5 to 4 feet (105–120 cm). Despite the massive size of its flowers, the plant is known for being sturdy and compact with robust stems.
- Performance: Elite Wedding & Exhibition Flower. Praised for its romantic, "wedding cake" aesthetic and strong stems that support the heavy blooms gracefully. It is a reliable, vigorous grower that serves as the "crown jewel" of any summer bouquet or garden border.
