Seabeck Hilda

Seabeck’s Hilda is a striking stellar-form variety introduced by D & W Brant in 2014. 

Characteristics:

Form: Stellar (ST) — This form is characterized by its slightly rolled, star-like petals that curve back toward the stem. The petals are often twisted, giving the bloom a dynamic, spiky appearance.

Color: Purple (PR) — Described as a striking royal purple or a bold, rich purple. It is one of the most intense purple varieties available.

Bloom Size: Small to Medium (BB or ST) — Generally measures 5 to 7 inches (approx. 12–18 cm) in diameter. The official ADS size classification is 'ST' (Stellar), meaning the bloom is over 2 inches but Stellar dahlias can grow quite large.

Height: Tall — Typically grows to about 3.5 to 5 feet (approx. 1–1.5 meters) tall.

Performance: 

• Cut Flower: Highly valued by florists for its intense color, excellent vase life, and sturdy, straight stems.
• Exhibition: Its striking form, consistent color, and strong growth habit make it a favorite among dahlia exhibitors.
