Sandia Gold

The Sandia Gold dahlia is an enchanting and cheerful variety hybridized by Bill and Joyce McClaren of Sandia Dahlias. Known for its luminous yellow hue and a unique cupped shape that resembles a peony in cooler temperatures, it is a radiant addition to any garden or floral display.

• Color: Yellow (Y). A bright, fun golden-yellow during the day that transitions to a soft, buttery yellow as the petals cup in the evening.
• Form: Waterlily (WL). Features a beautiful, cupped waterlily shape with broad, symmetrical petals that create a delicate yet striking appearance.
• ADS Classification: 7302 (M-WL-Y). A miniature-sized (M), waterlily (WL) dahlia in the yellow (Y) color class.
• Bloom Size: Miniature (M). Blooms typically measure around 3 to 4 inches (approx. 7.5–10 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Medium. Grows to approximately 2.5 to 3.5 feet (75–105 cm) tall, though it can reach up to 5 feet (1.5 m) in ideal conditions.
