The Salmon Kiss dahlia is a charming and prolific variety that captures the warm, glowing essence of a summer sunset. Introduced by Birgitta and Keith Hall (registered in 2012), it is widely adored for its cheerful radiance and its ability to bridge the gap between pink and orange in floral palettes.
- Color: Salmon / Peach. A luminous blend of warm salmon-pink and soft peach. The petals often feature a glowing yellow-orange base that transitions into a vibrant, rosy-pink toward the edges, creating a multi-dimensional "lit from within" effect.
- Form: Waterlily (WL). A classic, elegant shape with layered petals that sit flat and symmetrical, resembling a floating lotus. ADS Classification: WL (Waterlily).
- Bloom Size: Miniature (M). Perfectly petite blooms, typically reaching 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter. This size is ideal for adding delicate texture to mixed arrangements.
- Height: Medium. Grows to approximately 3.5 to 4 feet (105–120 cm) tall, maintaining a bushy and manageable habit in the garden.
- Performance: Exceptionally Prolific. Known as a "blooming machine," it produces a constant flush of flowers throughout the season. Its slender but strong stems and long vase life make it a top-tier choice for market bouquets and home cutting gardens.
