Rosemary Webb is an heirloom variety introduced by Webb in 1956/1958.
Characteristics:
Form: Waterlily (WL). The blooms have a soft, layered look that many describe as peony-like, with uniquely shaped petals.
Color: Multi-Tonal Blush Blend. The blooms open in delicate shades of pale, primrose yellow or buttercream and then gracefully mature, blushing into apple-blossom pink, lilac, or rosy peach. This color shift means a single plant can hold a beautiful bouquet of different shades at once.
Bloom Size: Small (BB), typically between 4 and 5 inches (approx. 10 to 13 cm).
Height: Medium, usually grows to 3 to 4 feet (90 to 120 cm) tall.
Performance:
Color Drama: The gradual transformation of the bloom color is its most stunning feature, offering a palette of soft hues like blush, lemon, and white all on one plant, giving it a luminous, painterly effect.
Cut Flower Quality: It is very popular for bouquets due to its exceptional vase life and perfect size, which is described as "just the right size to cut and pick for bouquets indoors".
Garden Presence: It's a relatively compact plant that is a prolific, non-stop bloomer, making it an ideal choice for the middle or back of a cottage garden or a dedicated cutting garden.
