RM Gigi

The RM Gigi dahlia is an incredibly special and "spectacular" dinner plate variety introduced in 2025 by Hailey Sly of River Merle Farm. Named in honor of her grandmother, "Gigi," who was a passionate supporter of her flower journey, this dahlia is celebrated for its massive, atmospheric blooms and its status as the largest variety ever grown from seed at the farm.

• Color: Light Blend (LB). Features striking layers of delicate, pointed petals in shades of pink with subtle gradients of peach and soft butter yellow. The most perfect pastel hues saturate the blooms in mid-summer, while more vibrant, rich pink and yellow tones appear in the early and late seasons.
• Form: Informal Decorative (ID). A "dinner plate" dahlia characterized by its large, flowing, and slightly irregular petal arrangement.
• Bloom Size: Large (A/AA). Blooms typically average 7 to 8 inches (18–20 cm) but can reach an impressive 11 inches (28 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches a maximum height of approximately 5.5 feet (165 cm).
• Performance: Highly Abundant Producer. Unlike many large-flowered varieties that can be stingy, RM Gigi is known for its high bloom count, creating a stunning and impressive display in the garden.
