River's Cant Elope - Cutting

River’s Can’t Elope Dahlia was introduced by hybridizer Eugene Kenyon and distributed by River's Dahlias in 2024. Its name is a play on the gorgeous cantaloupe colour that dominates the bloom.

Characteristics:

Form: Stellar (ST)—Distinguished by its long, narrow petals that recurve (bend backward) toward the stem, giving the flower a star-like, spiky, yet elegant appearance.

Color: Orange/Pink Blend (OR/PK)—A dreamy, coveted cantaloupe colour, often described as a spectacular coral or peachy-pink hue, with a tendency for a beautiful light lavender blush, particularly in the center or on the back of the petals.

Bloom Size: Approximately 4 to 6 inches (often 5–6 inches). It is classified as a Small (BB-size, 4"–6") dahlia, with a large, striking presentation.

Height: Typically reaches a height of 4 to 5 feet.

Performance: A sought-after new introduction that is highly prolific. It produces an abundance of blooms on sturdy stems, making it an excellent choice for a dramatic, warm-toned focal flower in cut arrangements and event work.
