Rancho Dahlia is a radiant waterlily-type variety introduced over 40 years ago in France.
Characteristics:
Form: Waterlily (WL) or Decorative (D)—often specifically described as a Waterlily type. Waterlily dahlias have fully double, broad, and somewhat flat petals that are only about half as deep as they are across, giving the flower an elegant, semi-open appearance that resembles a peony or a water lily.
Color: Apricot/Orange/Yellow Blend—The bloom is a gentle, warm blend of colours, typically a rich orange or soft apricot that often blends and lightens to include shades of yellow or a pastel orange with a pink glow toward the petal tips.
Bloom Size: Classified as a Medium (B) size dahlia, typically measuring between 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in diameter, though some sources list it slightly smaller (4"–6").
Height: Upright grower, reaching about 4 feet (90–120 cm), with a bushy habit and strong stems.
Performance: A gorgeous cut flower prized for its long, straight stems and the soft, glowing warmth of its colour, making it a favorite for floral arrangements and for brightening borders and containers.
