NY Papa

The NY Papa dahlia is a striking and award-winning variety introduced by New York hybridizer Bill Doolittle and brought to market by Triple Wren Farms. It’s celebrated for its charming bicolor appearance, robust plant habit, and status as an elite pollinator magnet—making it a standout addition to both show gardens and naturalistic floral designs.

• Color: White / Light Pink Bicolor. Features clean white petals beautifully accented with soft, light pink tones, creating a fresh and airy look.
• Form: Single / Novelty Disc Center. An open-centered, single-form dahlia with a prominent central disc. It was judged "Most Perfect Novelty Disc Center Dahlia" at the 2025 National Dahlia Show.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically measure between 4 to 4.5 inches (10–11.5 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. An upright plant with a generous branching habit that grows to approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) tall.
• Performance: Excellent Cut Flower & Pollinator Magnet. Known for "blooming its head off" on long, strong stems. Despite its open center, it holds its petals remarkably well in arrangements and is highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
