Melody Gipsy

The Melody Gipsy dahlia is a charming and prolific variety known for its whimsical colors and compact, bushy habit. Part of the renowned "Melody" series, it is celebrated for its ease of growth and ability to produce a continuous carpet of blooms—ideal for containers, borders, and bright garden displays. 

• Color: Pink (PK) / Yellow. A vibrant bicolor featuring soft rosy-pink petals that fade into a sunny, lemon-yellow center. The edges often carry a deeper magenta tint, giving the flower a "glowing" effect in the sunlight.
• Form: Decorative (ID/FD). Features flat to slightly involute petals that create a full, lush, and informal appearance. ADS Classification: MSI (Miscellaneous) or Decorative depending on local exhibition standards.
• Bloom Size: Small/Miniature. Blooms typically reach 3 to 5 inches (7.5–12.5 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Dwarf/Medium. A compact grower reaching approximately 2 to 2.5 feet (60–75 cm) tall, making it exceptionally sturdy without the need for heavy staking.
• Performance: Excellent Garden & Border Variety. Praised for its neat growth habit and massive flower count. While the stems are shorter than exhibition ball dahlias, it is a "color machine" that remains covered in flowers from mid-summer until the first frost.
