Marryn's Mamawo & Popo Dahlia is an exciting first introduction, released in 2024 by hybridizer Marryn Mathis of The Farmhouse Flower Farm (USA). Named in loving tribute to her grandparents, this dahlia is celebrated for its huge, creamy-blush blooms and is quickly becoming a favorite substitute for more temperamental white varieties in high-end design work.
Characteristics:
Form:Â Formal Decorative (FD). The blooms are deeply cupped and full, featuring a tight, symmetrical arrangement of petals that creates a large, substantial flower head.
Colour:Â Creamy White with Blush Undertones. Officially classified as white, the bloom is a rich, warm cream or ivory that frequently shows a beautiful, soft blush or pearly pink hint, particularly toward the center or during warmer weather.
Bloom Size:Â BB (Small-to-Medium) / Large. While classified in the BB range for show purposes (4 to 6 inches), it is widely noted by growers for producing giant, dream-like blooms that frequently hit the upper end of the BB range or larger.
Height:Â Very Tall. The plant is known for its impressive stature and thick, robust stalks, reliably growing to approximately 4.5 to 5 feet tall.
Performance:Â Highly Productive and Excellent Cutter. This variety is specifically prized for its ability to "pump out" blooms all season long on strong, straight stems. Its stable form and color make it a fantastic, long-lasting flower for wedding and event design work.
