Manoa

The Manoa dahlia is a moody and sophisticated variety introduced by RuRo-Plant in the Netherlands in 2019. It is celebrated for its deep, velvet-textured blooms and striking dark foliage—providing a dramatic, decadent look that serves as an excellent alternative to varieties like 'Karma Choc'.

• Color: Dark Red (DR) / Deep Burgundy. A rich, sultry shade described as black-ruby or deep maroon with a velvety luster. The dark coloration is intensified by its dark bronze-green to almost turquoise-tinged foliage. 
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD) or Waterlily-style. Typically features perfectly formed, symmetrical blooms with rounded petals. Some growers note its shape can also resemble a waterlily. ADS Classification: 4107 (Small Formal Decorative Dark Red)
• Bloom Size: Small or Miniature (M/BB). Blooms generally range from 3 to 4.5 inches (7.5–12 cm) in diameter. 
• Height: Medium to Tall. A vigorous grower reaching approximately 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) tall. Staking is highly recommended to support its height and productive stems. 
• Performance: Highly Productive Cut Flower. Praised for being a reliable and prolific bloomer on strong stems, making it a favorite for both garden borders and moody floral arrangements. It is noted for its excellent vase life and "hardy" blooms that last well after cutting.
