Lyns Opal

The Lyn’s Opal dahlia is a breathtakingly beautiful and ethereal variety introduced by hybridizer Bob Sampson in 2016. Celebrated for its gemstone-like luminescence, it features rows of translucent, shimmering petals that shift in color with the light—making it a "dreamy" and highly sought-after addition for romantic floral designs and serene garden spaces.

• Color: Light Blend (LB). A stunning, multi-toned palette that shimmers with a golden heart and soft tones of pink, blush, mauve, and cream. The outer petals are often a delicate rose-pink that fades toward a creamy white or pale yellow center.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features many rows of neatly arranged, overlapping petals that create a full and classically elegant double bloom.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Refined and perfectly uniform, the blooms typically measure between 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous and robust grower that typically reaches 4 to 4.5 feet (120–135 cm) in height, producing its shimmering flowers on long, strong stems.
