Lee's Papaya

Lee's Papaya dahlia is a vibrant and tropical-toned variety hybridized by Lee Hemmings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens and introduced in 2023. It is celebrated for its juicy, saturated color and exceptional stem quality—a high-energy addition to summer gardens and bold floral installations.

• Color: Orange (OR). A rich, warm papaya-orange with subtle coral undertones that glow in the sunlight. The color remains remarkably consistent throughout the season, providing a steady pop of citrusy brightness.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features layers of broad, flat petals that create a full and tidy bloom with a classic silhouette. ADS Classification: BB FD OR (Small Formal Decorative Orange).
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically reach 4 to 4.5 inches (10–12 cm) in diameter, offering a substantial presence without being overly heavy for delicate arrangements.
