Lee's Halo is a highly sought-after dahlia known for its stunning, luminous blooms and strong, reliable growth. This variety, hybridized by Lee, offers a refined and abundant presence in the cutting garden and landscape.

Form: Formal Decorative (FD) -'Lee's Halo' produces flat, symmetrical, and fully double blooms with petals slightly involute (curled inward) for at least half their length, giving it a classic, elegant appearance.

Colour: LB (Light Blend) - Soft, creamy hues, often described as a pinky creamy yellow or scrumptious ivory. The subtle variation gives the flower an almost glowing, "halo-like" effect.

Bloom Size: BB (Small): 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm)

Height: It is a robust and highly productive plant, reaching a mature height of approximately 4 to 5 feet (1.2 to 1.5 meters). It provides long-lasting, sturdy blooms all season long.

Performance:

  • Extremely Prolific. It is described by growers as being "Completely loaded all season" with flowers.
  • Excellent cut flower quality. Due to its sturdy stems, BB size, and elegant Formal Decorative (FD) form, it is one of the most reliable varieties for florists, particularly for wedding work.
  • Good tuber production. While productivity can vary, growers report that both tubers and cuttings of Lee's varieties generally yield a good number of tubers for the following season.
