Lee's Ember

The Lee’s Ember dahlia is a fiery and high-impact variety introduced by Lee Hemmings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens in 2023. It is celebrated for its rich, smoldering tones and dramatic contrast—making it a reliable standout that brings instant warmth to late-summer gardens and floral designs. 

• Color: Red (R) / Dark Blend. A striking combination of rusty red or copper tones highlighted with deep rose or raspberry. The color is often described as "absolutely glowing" with a rich, smoldering appearance that perfectly suits the autumn season.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features fully double, symmetrical blooms with petals that hold their centers exceptionally well throughout the season. ADS Classification: FD (Formal Decorative).
• Bloom Size: Miniature (M). Consistent blooms typically measure around 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous grower reaching approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) in height.
