The Lee’s Beech Glow dahlia is a radiant and high-performing variety hybridized by Lee Hemmings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens. Bred on Beech Mountain, North Carolina, it is celebrated for its "golden-hour" glow and its ability to provide non-stop warmth to both summer landscapes and professional floral designs.
- Color: Peach-to-Apricot Light Blend. Features sunset-hued petals with a rosy wash on the undersides that makes the flowers appear to glow. The color is dynamic, shifting from touches of coral to a neutral cream depending on the temperature.
- Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Boasts lush, layered petals that curl slightly to create a textured, glowing effect. ADS Classification: M/FD/BR (Miniature Formal Decorative Bronze) or ID depending on local trial results.
- Bloom Size: Miniature to Small (M/BB). Flowers typically measure between 3 and 5 inches (7.5–12.5 cm) in diameter—a versatile, florist-friendly size.
- Height: Medium. Grows into a compact but sturdy plant reaching approximately 3.5 to 4 feet (105–120 cm) tall.
- Performance: Early and Relentless Bloomer. Renowned for being one of the first to bloom in the season, consistently providing stems every week regardless of weather. Its upright stems and high productivity make it a "non-stop winner" and a keeper for any cutting garden.
