Le Corbiere Dahlia is a reliable and popular variety, introduced in 1982 by hybridizer R. E. M. Hoddinott in the UK. This dahlia is cherished for its perfect ball form and its incredibly vibrant, warm color that brightens any garden.
Characteristics:
Form:Â Ball (BA). Features a distinctive, dense, and rounded globe shape with petals that are rolled or involute for more than half their length, creating a tidy, honeycomb-like pattern.
Colour:Â Vibrant Apricot/Orange. A saturated, cheerful color that is classified as orange (OR) but often leans heavily toward a luminous apricot or warm tangerine, especially in the center. The color is striking and consistent.
Bloom Size:Â BB (Small-to-Medium). As a ball dahlia, the blooms are typically uniform, measuring between 3.5 to 4.5 inches across.
Height:Â Medium to Tall. The plant is sturdy and robust, reliably growing to approximately 4 feet tall.
Performance:Â Excellent Cutter and Show Performer. It is a heavy, prolific bloomer, consistently producing its perfect ball-shaped flowers on strong, straight stems. Its dependable shape and cheerful color make it a florist favorite and a successful show bloom.
