Kenora was hybridized and introduced by Kenora Dahlia Gardens in Canada.
Characteristics:
Form: Formal Decorative (FD). This means the blooms are fully double with a highly symmetrical, organized appearance. The petals are tightly packed and slightly rolled toward the edges, creating a lush, uniform look.
Color: A vibrant and complex Coral-Salmon Pink with striking variation. It is often described as a bright coral dahlia that features a graduated color from a darker, rich center to a lighter, salmon-pink or peachy tone on the outer petals. A unique and beloved feature is the occasional golden streak or touch of creamy yellow on the tips, giving the appearance of "shooting stars."
Bloom Size: Medium to Large (B), typically ranging from 6 to 8 inches (15–20 cm) in diameter, making it a wonderful focal flower.
Height: A tall, reliable grower, reaching a height of 3 to 4.5 feet (90–135 cm).
Performance: A consistently strong and reliable bloomer, producing a steady stream of flowers from mid-summer until the first frost. It holds its color and form well with strong, upright stems hold the blooms gracefully, making it ideal for cutting.
