KA Khaleesi

The KA’s Khaleesi dahlia is a majestic and award-winning "dinnerplate" variety introduced by Kristine Albrecht of Santa Cruz Dahlias in 2019. Named after the "Mother of Dragons," this variety is a top-tier exhibition flower, having won the prestigious ADS Derrill Hart Award and the 2023 Stanley Johnson Medal for its exceptional beauty and performance. 

• Color: White (W). A clean, crisp, and luminous white. The petals have a soft, ethereal quality that makes the massive blooms look like a floating "cloud" or "ivory-mist"
• Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Features wavy, curvy petals that add incredible texture and a romantic, slightly wild silhouette to the giant blooms.
• ADS Classification: 0101. Classified as a Giant (AA) Informal Decorative White.
• Bloom Size: Giant (AA). Massive flowers that typically measure 10 to 12 inches (25–30 cm) in diameter, often dwarfing other varieties in the garden.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous, upright plant that grows to approximately 4.5 to 5 feet (135–150 cm) tall.
