JS Butterscotch dahlia is a bold and warm variety introduced in 2013 that makes a striking statement in the garden with its "dinnerplate" sized blooms. As a sport of the famous 'Spartacus' variety, it inherited a robust growth habit and exceptional vase life, making it a favorite for late-season arrangements.

  • Color: Bronze (BR) / Orange. A rich, burnt orange or peachy-bronze base adorned with deep red flecks and "freckle-like" splashes, ensuring that no two blooms look exactly alike.
  • Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Large petals are slightly twisted or recurved toward the stem, giving the massive flower a dynamic, shaggy appearance. ADS Classification: 1114.
  • Bloom Size: Large (A). Impressive blooms typically range from 8 to 10 inches (20–25 cm) in diameter.
  • Height: Tall. A towering plant that grows to approximately 4 to 6 feet (120–180 cm) tall and requires sturdy staking to support its heavy flowers.
  • Performance: Robust and Exhibition-Ready. Praised for its overall vigor and long, strong stems, it is a reliable "workhorse" that performs well in both show gardens and as a dramatic cut flower.
