The Irish Ruffles dahlia is a unique and enchanting variety introduced by Steve and Sandy Boley in 2015. It is highly sought after by florists, particularly for wedding work, due to its romantic, billowy texture and "pillowy" petals that live up to its name.
- Color: White (W) with Blush. Features creamy, ivory-white petals that often develop a delicate pink or lavender-blush kiss at the center, especially as temperatures cool.
- Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Known for its irregular, twisted, and "jagged" petals that create a beautifully ruffled, airy appearance. ADS Classification: 3101.
- Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically measure between 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter.
- Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches a height of 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm), often cited as one of the tallest varieties in the garden.
- Performance: Productive and Early Bloomer. Praised as a "flower farmer's delight" for its abundance of blousy blooms on long, sturdy stems, offering an excellent vase life of approximately 7 days.
