The Irish Pinky dahlia is a "tiny treasure" and a recent addition to the dahlia world, hybridized by Steve and Sandy Boley of Birch Bay Dahlias and introduced in 2025. It is highly sought after by exhibitors and florists alike for its rare, petite symmetry and soft, ethereal color, which stands out as a unique "micro" variety in the garden.
- Color: Pearly-Pink / Blush. A delicate, soft pink described as the "softest shade imaginable," often showing hints of blush or parchment with a subtle whisper of lavender.
- Form: Micro Formal Decorative (MC FD). Features broad, flat petals arranged in a neat, symmetrical, and fully double form. ADS Classification: 5004.
- Bloom Size: Micro (MC). Dainty, petite blooms typically measure between 1.5 to 2 inches (3.8–5 cm) in diameter.
- Height: Tall. Despite its small flowers, the plant is a "beast," reaching a vigorous 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) in height with a well-branched habit.
- Performance: Exceptionally Prolific. A high-performing "workhorse" that is constantly covered in blooms on long, strong stems; it is highly productive in both flower and tuber production.
