Hollyhill Serenity - Cutting

Hollyhill Serenity is an exquisite variety, introduced in 2016 by Ted and Margaret Kennedy of Hollyhill Dahlias in the USA.

Characteristics:

Form: Waterlily (WL). This form is highly sought after by florists for its elegance. The bloom is semi-double, broad, and shallow, with perfectly flat, rounded petals that are often layered in a poised, sophisticated manner. A unique characteristic is that the petals often close up at night.

Color: Light Blend (LB) - Peach/Cream/Yellow. The coloring is soft, romantic, and variable:

• It opens as a gentle wash of blush-peach, apricot, or soft coral.
• The center often has a radiating glow of soft yellow or cream, which can become more prominent in warm conditions.
• The overall effect is a serene, tranquil blend of pastel hues that softens towards the edges, lending it a high-end, luxury feel.

Bloom Size: Small to Medium (BB), typically ranging from 4 to 7 inches (10 to 18 cm) in diameter. The American Dahlia Society (ADS) officially classifies it in the 4-6 inch range.

Height: A tall, stately plant that grows to approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) tall.
