Hapet Pastel is a romantic and "dreamy" variety introduced by the renowned Austrian hybridizer Peter Haslhofer in 2011. It is celebrated for its soft, multi-tonal coloring and reliable, upright growth, making it a favorite for creating "calm, inviting color" in both garden borders and floral arrangements.
- Color: Pink (PK) / Light Blend. A delicate and warm blend of peachy pink, soft lavender, and buttery yellow towards the center. The colors are often described as having a "glowing" or "luminous" quality that pairs beautifully with other pastel varieties.
- Form: Decorative (FD) or Ball (BA). While often classified as a formal decorative with broad, slightly cupped petals, it frequently exhibits a tight, compact, and nearly spherical "ball-shaped" appearance. ADS/European Classification: FD / BA.
- Bloom Size: Small (BB). Neatly formed blooms typically range from 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter.
- Height: Tall. A vigorous and sturdy grower that reaches a mature height of approximately 3.5 to 4.5 feet (110–140 cm).
- Performance: Prolific Cut Flower. Highly valued for its "floriferous" nature and long, sturdy stems that hold the flowers well above the foliage. It is noted for its long flowering period—often blooming from July until the first frost—and an excellent vase life for floral design.
