Great Silence

The Great Silence dahlia is a mesmerizing and versatile variety introduced by the Dutch hybridizer Peter Komen in 2018. It is celebrated for its sophisticated, sunset-like color transitions and "glittery" petals that appear to glow from within, making it a favorite for both garden borders and romantic floral design. 

• Color: Dark Blend (DB). A complex gradient of hot pink, peach, and lavender that fades into a luminous coral, orange, or golden-yellow center. From a distance, the blooms often appear as a warm, harmonious peach.
• Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Features slightly rolled or ruffled petals arranged in a relaxed, double-bloom structure. ADS Classification: 3113.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Flowers typically measure 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Medium to Tall. A vigorous grower reaching approximately 3 to 5 feet (90–150 cm) in height.
• Performance: Highly Productive & Early Bloomer. Prized for its long, strong dark brown stems and exceptional vase life, it is a reliable "workhorse" for florists that produces continuous blooms from midsummer until the first frost.
