Glossy Macarena

The Glossy Macarena (also referred to as Glossy Maracana) dahlia is a vibrant and energetic variety introduced by Gerrit Schwieters in 2021. It is celebrated for its tropical, bold color shifts and a signature luminous finish that makes the blooms appear to shimmer in the sun—perfect for bright garden plantings and lively, colorful arrangements.

• Color: Dark Blend (DB). A dynamic and warm color palette featuring shifts from deep orange or copper petals to rich raspberry or burgundy centers. The petals have a unique, almost lacquered or glossy texture that enhances their depth.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features broad, flat-tipped petals arranged with clean, traditional symmetry. ADS Classification: FD (Formal Decorative).
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically range from 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter, though they can occasionally reach slightly larger sizes in ideal conditions.
