The Glenmarc Connie dahlia is a stunning and underrated variety, cherished by cut-flower growers for its vibrant coloring and impeccable structural form. Bred by Alf Hardingham in Australia, it was famously misidentified as "Glenmarc Skye" for years before being verified as the true Connie. It is a reliable workhorse that produces an endless supply of high-quality blooms throughout the season.

  • Color: Lavender (L) / Lilac Pink. A vibrant, almost electric lavender-pink that remains saturated and glowing. The petals often recurve beautifully, revealing a deep, multi-toned lilac that pairs effortlessly with both pastels and deep purples.
  • Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features perfectly layered petals that sweep back toward the stem, creating a full, rounded, and symmetrical bloom. ADS Classification: 4008.
  • Bloom Size: Miniature to Small (M/BB). Blooms are typically 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter, making them a versatile "sweet spot" size for bouquets and event work.
  • Height: Tall. A vigorous and sturdy grower, reaching approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) in height.
  • Performance: Highly Productive Cut Flower. Renowned for its long, strong stems and exceptional "head attachment" (no wobbling). It boasts an impressive vase life of 5 to 6 days and is praised for pumping out consistent, show-worthy blooms until the first frost.
