The Formby Duke dahlia is a regal and commanding Australian variety bred by the late George Harding in Tasmania. It is highly prized by collectors for its "unicorn status" and sophisticated, antique color palette, making it a standout in both exhibition circles and high-end floral design.

• Color: Dark Pink (DP) / Smoky Rose. A refined dusty pink with unique cinnamon and antique undertones that often deepen as the season progresses. Some growers describe it as a "smoky pink" or a blend of "dusty pink and warm apricot".
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD) / Informal Decorative (ID). Classified as a Large Formal Decorative by the American Dahlia Society (ADS), though some sources note its petals can take on a more relaxed, Informal Decorative (ID) appearance.
