The Devon Image dahlia is a stunning and high-performing variety bred by the late Charles Smith in Tasmania, Australia. It is celebrated for its delicate, bicolored appearance and its ability to produce an abundance of long-stemmed flowers, making it a "must-grow" favorite for cutting patches and garden displays.
- Color: Pink (PK) / White. A gorgeous cool light pink to mauve bloom with a distinctive creamy-white center and pointed white petal tips.
- Form: Small Decorative (SD). Features layers of neatly arranged slightly pointed petals that create a full and symmetrical shape.
- ADS Classification: Typically classified as Small Decorative or Miniature Decorative (4000 series) based on its petite size and neat petal formation.
- Bloom Size: Small (BB) or Miniature (M). Blooms typically range from 3.5 to 5 inches (9–12.5 cm) in diameter.
- Height: Very Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches approximately 3.3 to 5 feet (100–150 cm) tall and requires sturdy support or staking due to its height and heavy bloom production.
- Performance: Outstanding Cut Flower. Known for being highly floriferous ("buds popping like popcorn") on incredibly long, strong stems, this variety is a reliable performer that lasts well in the vase.
