David Digweed was bred by Ferncliff Gardens in British Columbia.

Color: Peachy-Orange Blend. The colour is a warm combination, often described as a peachy apricot/orange with underlying yellow or subtle yellow-green tones. Some growers note a darker center and clear, light green eyes when the bloom is fully open.

Form: Formal Decorative (FD) or Ball (BA). It exhibits the tight, regular petal placement of a formal decorative type, sometimes crossing into the very rounded, structured shape of a ball dahlia.

Bloom Size: Miniature (M). The blooms are productive and generally measure around 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter.

Height: Tall, reaching approximately 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) in height.

Performance: Blooms from midsummer to frost. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Known for its productivity, excellent vase life (up to 5 days), and reliable structure, David Digweed is a favorite among growers and designers.
