Danique was bred by Peter Komen. It is considered a relatively recent introduction (late 2010s/early 2020s) and is highly praised by flower farmers.
Form: Informal Decorative (ID). The ray florets are flat but often slightly wavy, curled, or irregular in their arrangement, giving the bloom a dynamic, lush appearance.
Bloom Size; Small to Medium (BB). Blooms typically measure around 5 inches (12.5 cm) in diameter, falling within the 4 to 6-inch classification.
Color: Terracotta/Red Blend. The colour is a rich, complex blend of red-brown, terracotta, and burnt sienna on the top of the petals. The undersides of the petals are a deeper plum or wine colour, which contributes to the overall saturated, almost metallic glow of the bloom, making it perfect for fall bouquets.
Height: Medium, reaching approximately 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) tall.
Performance & Cut Flower: An early bloomer that produces beautiful, saturated, cuttable stems despite its moderate height. It is a fantastic "novelty" color for flower arrangements.
