Czarny Charakter

Czarny Charakter is a novelty bloom that glows with velvety darkness and gothic elegance. It was bred in Poland by W. Legutko in Poland.

Color: Near-Black / Dark Red (DR). This dahlia is famous for being one of the absolute darkest varieties available. The colour is an intense, deep, dark burgundy-red that appears almost velvety black in the garden, especially when the light is low.

Form: Novelty Fully Double (NX) or sometimes listed as Novelty (NO). Its structure is densely double, but it doesn't fit neatly into the formal categories, showcasing a unique, slightly informal formation.

Bloom Size: Miniature to Small (M/BB). Blooms are generally around 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter, but some sources suggest a broader range up to 6 inches.

Height: Medium, typically reaching 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) tall.

Performance: Blooms from midsummer to frost. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Known for its rarity, elegance, and long-lasting blooms. Tuber storage can be tricky—some growers recommend pot culture for best results.
