KA’s Coral Sea Dahlia is a formal decorative variety celebrated for its smoky ombré palette and wavy petal texture.

Characteristics:

Form: Informal Decorative (ID) or Formal Decorative (FD). The fully double blooms feature wavy, sometimes slightly irregular petals, which give the flower a lush, voluminous appearance with a sense of movement.

Color: An exquisite, complex Blend (Orange/Pink/Salmon). The color is best described as a smoky coral, peach, or dusky salmon hue. It exhibits a distinct ombré effect, transitioning from soft peach or creamy tones at the center to a deeper coral or pinky-salmon at the petal edges. Many blooms feature subtle gold tips that catch the light.

Bloom Size: BB (Small) to M (Medium), with blooms typically between 4 to 5 inches (10–13 cm) in diameter.

Height: A tall, vigorous plant, growing between 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm).

Performance:

  • This dahlia is a prolific cut-flower star, producing copious blooms throughout the season.
  • The long, strong stems make it an ideal cutting variety for the florist market.
  • Its unique smoky and muted color palette makes it an exceptional focal point or blender for elegant, coastal, or sunset-themed bouquets.
  • Note: Some growers report that in high heat, the centers may open ('blow') quickly, so it is best to harvest the blooms early in the morning before they are fully mature.

Please note that the listing is for one rooted cutting.
