Copper Boy

Copper boy was hybridized by Frans H. Sturm and introduced in Netherlands in 2020. 

Color: Dark Blend (DB) - Copper, Rust, and Red. The colour is often described as a moody, velvety combination of deep red, raspberry, bronze, and copper. It has a hue-shifting quality, giving it an irresistible, dark, rusty tone.

Form: Ball (BA). This form is characterized by globe-shaped, fully double blooms with florets that are involute (rolled inward) for most of their length, creating a dense, rounded flower.

Bloom Size: Small (BB) / Ball (BA), typically measuring 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter. The American Dahlia Society (ADS) classification is 6013 (Ball, Dark Blend).

Height: Short to Medium, typically growing around 3 to 3.5 feet (90–105 cm) tall. It is noted for a compact plant habit.

Performance: Very popular for cut flower work due to its striking, unusual colour, strong stems, and excellent vase life. It is also noted for being a prolific producer of blooms.
