Citron du Cap was hybridized by Cyril Higgo and introduced in 2001.
Color: Yellow (Y) with Blush/Rose Tips. The primary colour is a delicate, pale yellow (lemon or light goldenrod), with the tips of the fringed petals kissed by a subtle, soft blush of pink or rose. This blend creates a soft, luminous, and romantic effect.
Form: Laciniated (LC). This means the petals are heavily split or fringed at the tips, giving the bloom an airy, feathery, or "lace-like" appearance. It is a dense, full bloom.
Bloom Size: Medium (B), typically measuring 6 to 8 inches (15–20 cm) in diameter. Some sources note a slightly smaller range of 5–7 inches.
Height: Tall, growing between 4 to 6 feet (1.2–1.8 meters) tall.
Performance: A highly productive and striking variety. It is excellent for cutting, offering great movement and texture to arrangements, and is also often used as an exhibition flower.
