The CB Iris dahlia is a delicate and luminous variety hybridized by Trevor Hoff of Cable Bay Dahlias in British Columbia. Much like its namesake flower, it is cherished for its soft, ethereal tones and elegant structure, making it a "must-have" for romantic wedding work and garden-inspired floral designs

  • Color: Lavender (L) / Pink. A shimmering, pale lavender-pink that often features a creamy white center and a subtle pearlescent sheen on the petals. The color is known for being soft and dreamy, perfect for blending with other pastels.
  • Form: Stellar (ST). A striking form characterized by long, narrow petals that taper to a point, creating a star-like appearance. The outer petals reflex back toward the stem, while the inner ones curl slightly forward.
  • Bloom Size: Small (BB). These intricate blooms typically reach 4 to 5 inches (10–12 cm) in diameter, offering a light and airy feel compared to denser decorative types.
  • Height: Medium to Tall. Grows to approximately 4 feet (120 cm) tall and produces very long, slender stems that are ideal for reaching out of bouquets.
  • Performance: Prolific and Artistic. While its star-shaped form is more delicate than a ball dahlia, it is a highly productive bloomer. It is particularly valued by florists for its "airy" texture and unique movement in arrangements.
