Camano Buzz

The Camano Buzz (often spelled Camano Buz) dahlia is a vibrant and highly dependable variety introduced by Richard Ambrose in 2002. Known for its "juicy" tangerine hues and glowing energy, it is a favorite among cut flower growers for its ability to produce an abundance of cheerful blooms throughout the entire season.

• Color: Orange (OR). A brilliant, saturated tangerine or "peachy-tangerine" hue. Earlier in the season, blooms may show yellow undertones at the center, warming into a rich, burnt orange as the weather cools.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features neatly layered, flat petals that form a precise and symmetrical bloom. While some growers describe its shape as "ball-like," it is officially classified as a decorative type. ADS Classification: 4003.
• Bloom Size: Miniature (M). Petite and perfectly formed blooms typically measure between 3 and 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous plant that generally reaches 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm) in height, often requiring staking to support its prolific output.
• Performance: Reliable Cut Flower. Renowned for its exceptionally long, strong stems and early blooming habit. It is a "workhorse" variety that is weather-resistant, a great tuber producer, and highly valued by florists for bright summer and autumn mixes.
