Budapest Blush

Budapest Blush was hybridized by Karen Bull, a dahlia grower and breeder in the USA.

Color: Pink (PK) / Blush. Features the perfect soft shell pink or blush tone that is highly sought after. It is known to have color variation, occasionally showing streaks or edges of brighter, fuchsia-pink, especially as the season progresses or in cooler weather.

Form: Stellar (ST) / Formal Decorative (FD). Most commonly classified as Stellar, meaning the petals (ray florets) are fully double, involute (roll inward), and pointed, resembling a star. Some large-flowered reports also classify it as Formal Decorative.

Bloom Size: Miniature to Small (M-BB). Ranges from 3 to 5 inches (7.5–12.5 cm) in diameter, depending on growing conditions and classification.

Height: Tall. Grows to approximately 4 to 6 feet (1.2–1.8 meters) tall.

Performance: Excellent Cut Flower. Known for being a prolific bloomer with slim yet sturdy stems and good stem length, ideal for cutting. It is sensitive to intense heat and sun, and may benefit from some afternoon shade to prevent browning/drying out of the petal tips. It is also an early bloomer and a good tuber producer.
