Brown Sugar

Brown Sugar was hybridized by Bisschops (sometimes attributed to Roger Adams Jr in early records) and was introduced in 2002.

Color: Bronze (BR). A rich, decadent colour that is a blend of rusty red, copper, and deep burnt orange, with subtle variations. The petal backs and centER tend to darken to a deeper, almost true brown or rich rusty red. 

Form: Ball (BA). Features a perfectly geometric, fully double, spherical bloom. The ray florets are blunt, rounded at the tips, and involute (rolled inward) for more than 75% of their length.

Bloom Size: Miniature to Small (BB). Measures approximately 3.5 to 4 inches (9–10 cm) in diameter. ADS Size Classification: BB (Ball, over 3.5 inches).

Height: Medium-Tall. Grows to approximately 3.5 to 4.5 feet (1.0–1.4 meters) tall.

Performance: Exceptional Fall Cut Flower. A highly reliable and productive variety, known for its strong, tall stems and early blooming habit. Its rich colour is non-fading and perfect for moody, autumnal, and vintage bouquets.
