Breakout was hybridized by Bisschops and was introduced in 2002. Its origin is generally linked to the Netherlands/Europe.
ColorLight Blend (LB). Features magnificent creamy blossoms tinged with blush pink, buttercream, and pale rose overtones. It presents a gentle, ethereal blend of colors that is a favorite for high-end wedding work.
Form: Informal Decorative (ID) / Dinnerplate. Classified by the ADS as Informal Decorative (ID). It is also commonly grouped with Dinnerplate Dahlias due to its large size.
Bloom Size: Large to Giant (A). Measures approximately 8 to 10 inches (20–25 cm) in diameter. ADS Size Classification: A (Large, 8–10 inches).
Height: Tall. Grows to approximately 4 to 5 feet (1.2–1.5 meters) tall.
Performance: Highly Sought After. It produces an abundance of blooms on strong stems and has excellent vase life. Some growers note that the heavy blooms can be "clock-faced" (face downward) and may require support. It is a reliable, large-flowered cut flower.
