Bloomquist York was hybridized by Paul Bloomquist and was introduced in 2016.

Color: Dark Red/Dark Blend (DR/DB). A complex, highly desirable colour often described as a two-toned blend of brushed rust, clay, deep burgundy, and raspberry, with a chocolate or smoky tone at the center. It has an "ombre" or "painterly" quality. ADS Classification: 2107 or B ID DR (Medium, Informal Decorative, Dark Red).

Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Features fully double blooms with ray florets that are generally twisted, curled, or wavy, creating a layered, artful, and lush appearance. Some sources describe it as Formal Decorative (FD).

Bloom Size: Medium (B). Measures approximately 6 inches in diameter, sometimes slightly larger. ADS Size Classification: B (Medium, 6–8 inches).

Height: Very Tall. Grows to a striking 5 to 7 feet (1.5–2.1 meters) tall, often requiring staking due to its height and heavy blooms.

Performance: Highly Productive and Sought After. Known for producing an abundance of blooms on long, strong stems, making it an ideal, dramatic focal flower for cutting gardens. It is noted for being heat-tolerant.
