BQ Philly

The BQ Philly (Bloomquist Philly) dahlia is a luminous and elegant variety introduced by master hybridizer Paul Bloomquist in 2023. Celebrated for its "glowing" presence, it has quickly become a favorite for wedding work and market programs due to its sophisticated color and consistent, polished form.

• Color: Coral-Peach. A vibrant, warm coral-peach that radiates a soft glow. Some growers note the color can shift to more muted tones depending on the time of the season.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features smooth, perfectly symmetrical, and evenly layered petals that maintain a refined shape throughout the bloom life.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blossoms typically measure approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches between 3 and 5 feet (90–150 cm) in height.
• Performance: High-Volume Workhorse. Recognized as an "all-around winner" for its extreme vigor and productivity. It produces an abundance of blooms on long, sturdy stems and is noted for being a bountiful producer of tubers that are easy to divide.
